Meet Wildcat Ivan
Wildcat Ivan is the owner–operator of Wildcat Water Solutions and has lived in Central Alberta for 25 plus years. It all started during the summer of 2001 when a young man with drive, stuck between careers, was given a chance to work as a labourer for a local Red Deer plumbing company. Within two weeks he was offered an apprenticeship, and once he discovered boilers and hydronics, he never looked back. Later in his career, Ivan found a new passion for water treatment—something he continues to learn, refine, and specialize in.
Aside from obtaining his Interprovincial Plumbing Certificate and Gas Fitting Certificate, Ivan is always expanding his knowledge through various training seminars from industry organizations and manufacturers. Staying current allows him to advise multiple plumbing and heating contractors on proper installation and maintenance practices.
Ivan is a family man who has been married for 23 years to his amazing wife, and together they have raised three boys who have grown into young men. Ivan started his own business to share his knowledge with other contractors and to build a legacy for his family—with his wife beside him all the way.
Meet Wildcat Francine
Wildcat Francine is not only Ivan’s partner in life, but also his partner in business. Born and raised in Central Alberta, she is a journeyman electrician with over 10 years of experience, spending the majority of her trade career in the oil and gas sector. In more recent years, she transitioned into business administration and served as a general manager in the plumbing industry, gaining valuable leadership and operational experience.
Francine loves to learn and continually grow her knowledge. For the past few years, she has worked alongside Ivan, learning everything she can about boilers, hydronics, and water treatment. Her combination of technical trade experience, industry insight, and administrative expertise brings balance, strength, and professionalism to the company.
Francine’s dedication, curiosity, and passion for building something meaningful with her family make her an integral part of Wildcat Water Solutions. Together, she and Ivan are building not just a business, but a family-driven legacy rooted in skill, hard work, and commitment to their craft.
